Living the Wild Life in Costa Rica

In November Denise and I spent 10 nights in Costa Rica. We split this time between San Jose where we were the day we arrived and th day we departed. San Jose is fairly high up and is a bit drier. It is a good sized city.

After staying over-night in San Jose, we drove to Arenal Volcano area where we stayed at the Arenal Volcano Inn. It rained quite a bit while we were there, and we never got to see the top of the volcano. But we did go waterfall rappelling, and climbed Cerro Chato. There are also some great hot springs in the area!

After three nights at Arenal we headed way down (a five hour drive) to the Arenas Del Mar resort in Manuel Antonio for the Beach and Relaxing. We lucked out and had mostly dry and sunny days. It was a terrific break with the Monkeys and Sloths and the beautiful beach.

Some of our experiences are below.
