There are a few threads on couchsurfing on TT, but it seems pretty harmless to most. It depends of course on whether it will have people virtually non-stop all the time, or only a few people who have been spread throughout the year. I`ve been on couchsurfing since 2008, and it was a life-changing experience. I like to host more than surf because I treat it as a reverse traveling. A landlord could eventually evict the tenant for multiple offences, but this would require considerable evidence and patience. These rules may not be unbreakable, but they provide a good reference point especially for inexperienced hosts. For me, the newcomers without references brought great experiences. Depending on the conditions, tenants may have customers from time to time.
