Today we have seen a stage go up at the Fisherman’s Monument on the Malecon near the Torre Eme. It is likely a part of the festivities for today´s reopening of the Avenida del Mar and Paseo Claussen ¡Yeah!
They have been working hard on the Avenida del Mar and Paseo Claussen the last two weeks. They have been making piping improvements under the concrete at many of the intersections on the West side of the streets. This work looks to be mostly complete, and cleanup and prettying has begun. The malecon itself still needs quite a bit of work, and they look to be moving a bit too fast for the best quality job with the new pavers on Paseo Claussen part of the Malecon, but we will see soon!
We also continue to look at our new home which is still being worked on (the yellow and white building in the distance on the hill). Soon. We hope!
